Gamification Game Development With HTML, CSS, and Javascript Culminating Project

For my culminating project, I created a game for my class using the game building platform Twine. In order to build out my game, which is mostly basic, I built out the code and framework of the game using Javascript, HTML, and CSS. The game contains interactive elements such as gifs, videos, and defined elements for gameplayers to interact with and play either together or by themselves. I decided to do this project as my culminating project in order to show my work and the ability for Gamfication to be something that can be explored through the use of coding elements. As someone who has some coding experience, but not a lot of experience with Python and Javascript, inserting those elements into my game proved to be a challenge. However, Twine was a great game development platform because many elements of HTML, CSS, and Javascript coding were simplified, which made the experience of creating a game much easier. In developing the CSS code for my project, I was able to understand how important a well-designed stylesheet is and how to run certain programs within a web page. This culminating project of mine was something that required a lot of time and effort on my part; however, I am proud of the end result. The game is still a work in progress, especially as I continue to refine the game and add the additional elements to it, such as building out the levels for player interaction and integration, and finalizing some of the server elements for the project. Below are some screenshots of the game, game development, and codes used for the game.
